Current Use: Also known as the “Darth Vader Building” for it’s shape and color. Construction was started in 1987 and completed in 1989. It was the first modern high-rise building in downtown and began the trend of skyscrapers that forms today’s Sacramento skyline.

Historical Significance: Originally the building was owned by Hale’s Department stores. Weinstock’s (known as Weinstock-Lubin at the time) eventually merged with its competitor Hale Brothers and operated at the same location under the Weinstock’s name.

Current Use: The main floor is used entirely by a Rite Aid pharmacy store. The upper floors are also in use but the tenants at this time are unknown.
